THE BIG ONE -- Nell Sharp, a resident of Autumn View Health Care Facility in Hamburg, will be 100 years old Saturday.
She was a third grade teacher at Roosevelt School in Lackawanna for many years, retiring in 1968. Relatives and friends of the Pennsylvania native plan a party Sunday, according to Kathleen Warren of West Seneca, a retired Lackawanna Spanish teacher. Warren plans to visit Sharp on Saturday afternoon. . . .
FLEA MARKET -- The Erie County Pomona Grange will hold its 28th annual spring flea market and crafts show from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday in the Grange Building on the Erie County Fairgrounds in Hamburg. The show, featuring 65 exhibitors, is free and open to the public. Parking is free. . . .
