POLICE SEEK CONNECTION IN 3 SIMILAR BURGLARIES

Police were trying to determine whether three similar store burglaries early Thursday were related.

At 3:15 a.m. a large piece of concrete was thrown through a front window at the Q&T Mini Mart, 805 Main St. Zameer Hussain, the owner, reported 150 packs of cigarettes, valued at $696 were stolen.

At 5:39 a.m., a glass door at GEO Mart, 1621 Niagara Ave., was smashed with a large chunk of concrete. Mohammed Zahid, the owner, reported shirts, jackets and hats valued at $700 were taken.

At 6:45 a.m., police on routine patrol discovered a smashed window in the front door of the N.Y. Clothing Store, 2127 Main St. The window was believed to have been broken with a cinder block found on the floor in the store. Wusef Coleman, the owner, reported a printer, valued at $795, was taken.

Detective Joseph Paul was reviewing a security tape from one of the stores, showing a person smashing the window.
