LEADERSHIP BUFFALO WILL HONOR FOUR

Four individuals will be honored as recipients of Leadership Buffalo's second annual Values Awards at a luncheon at noon May 26 in the Hyatt Regency Buffalo.

The winners are:

Service Award: Sister M. Johnice Rzadkiewicz, founder and director of St. Adalbert's Response to Love Center on Buffalo's East Side, who oversees 95 volunteers providing food, jobs, clothing and medical attention to those in need.

Diversity Award: The Rev. Darius G. Pridgen, pastor of True Bethel Baptist Church, a 3,000-member congregation with an East Side campus that includes a charter school, a Subway restaurant and a bookstore housing a screen-printing business.

Inclusion Award: Francisco M. Vasquez, executive vice president of People Inc., which has provided enriched services for the developmentally disabled, teens from troubled and disadvantaged backgrounds and the Latino community.

Openness to Change Award: Arlene F. Kaukus, president of the United Way of Buffalo and Erie County, who has spearheaded systematic changes that have helped early childhood education and the delivery of services to victims of domestic violence.
