TEEN WANTED IN STABBING DURING FIGHT IS ARRESTED

Police Wednesday said they arrested a teenager wanted for allegedly stabbing a 15-year-old Lockport Street boy March 26.

Duron J. "Frogger" Cox, 16, of Linwood Avenue was arrested by Niagara Falls Police Detective James Galie as he entered City Court for an unrelated court appearance. He was charged with first-degree assault.

Cox pleaded not guilty to the charge before City Court Judge Angelo J. Morinello, and was returned to Niagara County Jail in lieu of 10,000 cash, or $20,000 property bail.

Galie said the victim, who suffered a collapsed lung, identified Cox as his assailant.

The victim told police Cox was among about 15 boys who showed up at an acquaintance's house to fight. Police said the victim was stabbed while he was using the telephone. He was hospitalized for three days.
