The North Collins Village Board at its organizational meeting last week ordered the emergency demolition of an empty warehouse owned by Mecca Farms.
The roof of the School Street building collapsed under the weight of the recent snow, prompting the action. Officials feared that vibrations from a nearby railroad track could cause more of the structure to collapse.
Gene Degman, code enforcement officer, confirmed Wednesday that Mecca Farms will have the building demolished this week.
The next board meeting is 7 p.m. May 3 in Village Hall.
