3. Time to walk the walks. Letchworth State Park -- (585) 493-3625 -- offers three:

1 p.m. Saturday: Springtime walk along the lower falls trail -- Meet in parking lot past cabin area "B." Beware: Lots of steps and muddy spots (two hours one mile).

6:30 p.m. Saturday: Crepuscular walk in the Timberdoodle Twilight -- Meet at the Mount Morris Dam entrance on Route 408 out of Mount Morris toward Nunda. Will car pool (two hours one mile).

10 a.m. Sunday: Mushrooms & Moss walk in the Silver Lake Outlet Woods -- Meet at the Silver Lake Outlet Bridge, one mile north of Perry Exit on Main Park Road. Bring lunch (three hours one mile).

4. Celebrate National Astronomy Day at 5 p.m. Saturday at the Penn Dixie Paleontological and Outdoor Education Center in Hamburg.

View sunspots, the Beehive Cluster, Jupiter and the bright Star Spica -- all under the light of a quarter-moon.
