Robert F. "Bob" Dell Sr. of Lewiston, who formerly ran a home improvement business, died Saturday at home while under the care of Niagara Hospice. He was 68.
A city native, he was a graduate of Niagara Falls High School. He earned a millwright's certificate from the former Trott Vocational High School and worked for the Kimberly-Clark Corp.
For several years, he owned and operated Dell's Home Improvement.
He served in the U.S. National Guard and was past president of Niagara Active Hose Fire Company in the Town of Niagara.
He was a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge, Elks Lodge and the Niagara County Contractors Association.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, the former Sandra M. Huff; three sons, Robert F. Jr. and Michael J., both of Niagara Falls, and Keith E. of New Smyrna Beach, Fla.; seven grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held today in M.J. Colucci & Son Niagara Funeral Chapel. Entombment was in Memorial Park Cemetery, Lewiston.
