Hires/Promotions/Honors

The Waters of Orchard Park, a long-term care facility, named Christine Dolan, a registered nurse, to its Sub Acute Care Team and Tammy Gore and Chris Newman medical clerks in the Medical Record Department.

Hilbert College appointed Wil Prout director of McGrath Library. Most recently, Prout was budget and facilities officer/assistant to the director at the University at Buffalo Health Sciences Library, where he held several other postions throughout his 25-year library career.

The accounting firm of Dopkins and Company named Brian E. Zdrowak, Andrew J. Lennartz and Elizabeth A. Canfield staff accountants in its General Services Department.

The Compass Group financial professional Frank Rapino qualified for New England Financial's Masters Program, the company's program for top producers, and is a Hall of Fame Leaders Qualifier. In addition, The Compass Group honored Rapino with the Associate of the Year Award for the second consecutive year.

KAZ Brothers, a home improvement contractor, named Rich Mialki and Mark Kubick project estimators and Chris Krajewski service/home maintenance coordinator.

The YMCA of Greater Buffalo appointed Julie Doerr Skalski communications director at its corporate office. Previously, Skalski was public relations coordinator for Heritage Centers.

Memorial Child Care, a service of Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, earned accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children, a national organization of childhood professionals.

Janney Montgomery Scott, a Philadelphia-based investment firm, recently acquired Parker/Hunter, a Pittsburgh-headquartered investment and investment banking firm. Parker/ Hunter will operate as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Janney until the operations of the two firms are merged later this year. The Buffalo area office of Janney is located at Center Pointe Corporate Park, Suite 180, 425 Essjay Road in Williamsville.
