COCAINE DEALER GETS 15 YEARS IN PRISON

A man who was considered a major cocaine dealer on the city's East Side was sentenced to 15 years and eight months in federal prison Tuesday by U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara.

Sharieff Greene, 38, of Goodyear Avenue, was sentenced in connection with his May 2003 guilty plea to distributing more than 1.5 pounds of crack cocaine and conspiring to launder money.

Greene also admitted that he once accepted a Lexus automobile as payment for a drug debt, Assistant U.S. Attorney Joseph Karaszewski said. Agents from the FBI and the Internal Revenue Service investigated the case.
