ACTRESS EDEN TO HEADLINE LUCY-DESI DAYS IN MAY

Stage and screen star Barbara Eden is this year's headliner for the Lucy-Desi Days 2005 Memorial Day Weekend Festival, May 27-29.

"I Remember Lucy: An Evening with Barbara Eden" will be held at 8 p.m. May 29 in Reg Lenna Civic Center. Tickets are available by calling the Lucy-Desi Museum at 484-0800 or by visiting www.lucy-desi.com. A total of 100 tickets will also be sold for a special gala reception that will follow.

Museum official Pat Brininger said Eden's guest appearance in a 1957 episode of "I Love Lucy" prompted the invitation.

"When she was only 22 years old, Barbara Eden appeared in one of the very last episodes of 'I Love Lucy.' In it, she was a guest at a country club dance that Lucy, Ricky, Fred and Ethel went to. She was young and beautiful, and all the men paid attention to her and that made the women jealous."

Eden is known for the long-running 1960s TV sitcom, "I Dream of Jeannie."
