Hires/Promotions/Honors

The law firm of Jaeckle Fleischmann and Mugel named Robert W. Patterson partner in its Employee Benefits Practice Group at the Buffalo office. Patterson has concentrated his practice on Employee Retirement Income Security Act matters, and most recently was senior counsel to the law firm of Bond, Schoeneck and King. He obtained a bachelor's degree and law degree from the University at Buffalo.

Southtowns Financial Group CEO Daniel S. Blake qualified for membership in MassMutual Top of the Council for 2005 for the second time. The group represents MassMutual's 100 leading producers. Southtowns Financial Group is located at 6195 West Quaker St. in Orchard Park.

Warren's Carpet One owner Virginia Payne was recently appointed to the Advisory Council of Carpet One, a group of store owners who act as a liaison between company executives and individual retailers throughout North America. Warren's Carpet One is located at 8875 Porter Road in Niagara Falls.

Senior investment management consultant Laree Hulshoff of Smith Barney's Buffalo office qualified to attend the prestigious Senior Consultant Council sponsored by the Consulting Group, Smith Barney's Managed Money Unit.

Hillside Children's Center, an affiliate of Hillside Family of Agencies, a family and children services organization, named Stephanie Burke NiGLOW Waiver manager/mentor. Burke joined the Center in 2001 and previously was school-based clinician and individualized care coordinator. She is a graduate of the Rochester Institute of Technology and obtained a master's degree in social work from the University at Buffalo.

84 Lumber Co. named John Fulford a manager trainee at the building material's retail store in Orchard Park.

The Western New York School of Real Estate designated Cheektowaga resident Curt Taylor a certified home inspector after successfully completing more than 100 hours of NYS approved education components and passing an exam.
