MAN IN FAIR CONDITION AFTER TAVERN SHOOTING
A Lovering Avenue man was upgraded to fair condition Monday in Erie County Medical Center after he was shot inside a Niagara Street tavern early Sunday, Buffalo police said.
Michael A. Sutch, 41, suffered a gunshot wound to the right side of his chest, police said. He originally was listed in critical condition.
Northwest District Police said the incident began about 1 a.m. when Sutch became involved in a quarrel with the gunman and another man at the bar inside Skyway Tavern, 1473 Niagara St., near Potomac and West Delavan avenues.
Police said the man, described as about 5 feet 8 inches tall with a ponytail, pulled out a gun and opened fire.
