HOWARD BRUCE, RAN ELECTRONICS REPAIR SHOP
DEC. 25, 1919 -- APRIL 9, 2005

Howard G. Bruce, owner of an electronics repair shop, died Saturday in his Cheektowaga home after a long illness. He was 85.

Born in Buffalo, he graduated from Burgard Vocational High School and was an Army veteran of World War II.

In 1960, Mr. Bruce opened Bruce's Radio & TV Service in Eggertsville.

Active in the community, he served as president of the Western New York Electronic Guild and the Amherst Kiwanis Club. He also was captain of the Amherst Police Department Auxiliary and a member of Private Pilots Association.

He was married for 44 years to Lois Bruce, who died in 1992.

Surviving are two sons, Robert of Amherst and Jeffrey of Lockport; a daughter, Elizabeth Simpson of Port St. Lucie, Fla.; a sister, Virginia Lewis of North Tonawanda; and four grandchildren.
