Willie A. "Chill-Will" Young, 56, died unexpectedly Thursday in his Buffalo home.
Born in Birmingham, Ala., Mr. Young graduated from East High School. He was an Army veteran and served during the Vietnam War.
He was a construction worker for many years before becoming disabled in the late 1980s.
He is survived by his wife, the former Valerie "Linda" Porter of Buffalo; two daughters, Tasha Young-Pitts and LaToya, both of Buffalo; two sons, Willie A. Jr. and Aaron, both of Buffalo; a sister, Gwendolyn Little of Birmingham, Ala.; two brothers, Joseph and Anthony, both of Birmingham; and 13 grandchildren.
Services will be held at noon Tuesday in Greater Hope Baptist Church, East Utica and Verplank streets. Burial will be in St. Matthews Cemetery, West Seneca.
