Janet Reiter, who returned to the Niagara Falls area recently after more than 25 years, died Friday in her Lewiston home after a long illness. She was 70.
Born Janet Ruscitto, the Niagara Falls native married Harry D. Reiter in 1953. They raised their three children in Niagara Falls, where Mrs. Reiter worked for Spiegel.
They moved to Garden Grove, Calif., in 1979, then to Clarkston, Wash., and Clarks Summit, Pa., in 1981, where Janet worked as a counselor at the Diet Center.
Upon retiring in 1995, the couple moved to Henderson, Nev., and returned to Lewiston in October 2004.
Survivors besides her husband include two sons, Harry M. "Mike" and Thomas C., both of Hilton; a daughter, Cynthia A. Meidenbauer of Lewiston; a sister, Mary Ann Kilmer; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Prince of Peace Catholic Church, 1055 Military Road, Niagara Falls.
