Paula L. Ward, a trainer and lead customer service representative at the Internal Revenue Service, died unexpectedly Wednesday at her home in Cheektowaga. She was 32.
Born in Lackawanna, Ward received her bachelor's degree in psychology from Fredonia State College and worked at the IRS in Cheektowaga for six years. She was involved in writing training materials and served as an instructor for new and current IRS employees.
Ward was a member of the National Treasury Employees Union, Chapter 58, a regular Red Cross blood donor, an SPCA member and a regular participant in the Walk for Diabetes. She also enjoyed cooking and sewing.
Survivors include a daughter, Chrystal A. Samanka of Cheektowaga; her parents, Paul Jazwiecki of Williamsville and Judy Martin of Union Township, Ind.; and a brother, Joseph Martin of Union Township.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Monday in Amigone Funeral Home, 469 Cleveland Drive, Cheektowaga.
