COMMUTING CONCERNS
TROUBLE SPOTS FOR THE COMING WEEK

Main Street/Route 5 (City of Buffalo): Main Street reconstruction continues between Winspear and Hertel avenues. There will be major lane restrictions for the next several weeks.

Broadway (Town of Cheektowaga): Right lane of eastbound traffic, at Harlem Road, will be closed from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday through Friday. Road work is weather-sensitive.

Fillmore Avenue (City of Buffalo): Entrance ramp to Route 33 westbound is closed Monday through Sunday.

Lewiston-Queenston Bridge: Eastbound and westbound bridge traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction all week as part of a project to add a fifth lane to the span. The project will affect traffic for several months.

Military Road/Route 265 (Town of Tonawanda): Right lane closed at Knoche Road.

Niagara Thruway/I-190 (City of Buffalo): Lane restrictions at Church Street from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday and at Erie Street from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday.

Route 5/Route 20 Bridge (Town of Brant): An 18-ton weight limit is being enforced on this bridge over Cattaraugus Creek. Large commercial vehicles should take an alternate route.

Route 198 (City of Buffalo): Right lane restrictions from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday between Route 33 and Parkside Avenue. Also, restrictions at Grant Street from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Route 219 (Town of Boston): Lane restrictions at Shero Road from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Sunday.

Tonawanda Creek Road (Clarence): Tonawanda Creek Road from Transit Road (Route 78) to Westphalinger Road is closed. Detours are posted.
