WOULD-BE ROBBER FLEES FROM BANK WITHOUT CASH

An apparent bank robber fled Thursday afternoon from a branch of HSBC Bank without any money, according to police reports.

A bank official told police that a man in his late 20s or early 30s entered the branch at 3107 Bailey Ave. at about 12:15 p.m. and handed the teller a note.

When the teller asked the man for his bank transaction, the man took his note back and fled.
