ROUTINE TRAFFIC STOP LEADS TO FELONY DRUG CHARGES

An Angola man was arrested on two felony drug charges Wednesday night, following a routine traffic stop in the Town of Brant, the Erie County Sheriff's Department reported.

Deputy Greg McCarthy stopped a vehicle driven by Sean P. Strickler, 24, on Southwestern Boulevard at about 8:45 p.m. During his investigation, the deputy found Strickler in possession of what appeared to be cocaine, sheriff's officials said.

Strickler was charged with two felony counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, plus unlawful possession of marijuana, a violation.
