MAN PLEADS NOT GUILTY IN ACCOSTING OF WOMAN

A woman told police that a man tried to force himself on her sexually and steal her money in the 400 block of Third Street near midnight Tuesday.

Willie J. Harris III, 27, of Woodlawn Avenue, pleaded not guilty in City Court on Wednesday after being charged with forcibly touching a person in a sexually intimate way and third-degree robbery. Bail was set at $5,000 cash or $10,000 property, and the case was adjourned to Monday.

Three or four other men reportedly pulled the suspect off the woman and began punching and kicking him.

Harris was treated in Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for injuries to his left eye and head and was released.
