HEARING WILL FOCUS ON NOISE REGULATION

A new ordinance regulating noise and outdoor entertainment will be the topic of a public hearing at the April 19 meeting of the Dunkirk City Council. The new law would allow music outside until 1 a.m. but regulate the decibel level of the music to 60.

Councilman Kevin Muldowney said at Tuesday's Council meeting that the noise regulation was prompted by several studies and complaints of loud music.

Outdoor music would be allowed only by special permit.
