CLARIFICATION

An article Sunday on U.S. News & World Report's rankings of the best graduate programs at the nation's colleges stated that the University at Buffalo schools of Law, Education and Engineering placed "in the bottom half of their respective rankings." The magazine provided lists showing the Law School ranked 77th out of 100 schools, the Engineering School 56th out of 92 schools and the Graduate School of Education 66th out of 98 schools.

However, the magazine produces a more extensive list of schools in those categories. Including those tiers, the Law School ranks in the top half of the 179 schools ranked, the Engineering School ranks in the top third of the 179 schools ranked and the Graduate School of Education ranks in the top half of the 190 schools ranked.
