SECOND MAN PLEADS GUILTY IN CARJACKING

A second defendant pleaded guilty Tuesday in connection with a Nov. 27 carjacking in Niagara Falls.

John D. Maggard, 21, of 20th Street, Niagara Falls, is to be sentenced June 7 by Niagara County Judge Sara Sheldon Sperrazza for attempted second-degree robbery.

Co-defendant Michael P. Durham, 27, of Falls Street, was sentenced on Feb. 23 to a year in jail for third-degree robbery. He and Maggard knocked an Amherst woman to the ground in a Third Street parking lot and stole her car.
