The Niagara Falls Action Dome, which collapsed Monday morning when heavy snow caused a seam to rip open, will be reinflated and open a week after it has been repaired, Chuck Clark, the marketing director for Greater Niagara Sports Group, said Tuesday.
Clark said he's gathering estimates for the repair of the inflatable vinyl roof, which houses an indoor driving range at the Hyde Park Golf Course on Porter Road.
He said he's relieved the dome tore along the seam, which is easier to fix.
"It could have been a whole lot worse," he said. "The cost is relative to the longer term project that we have planned."
A professional golf instructor, John Kajfasz of Niagara Falls, was inside the dome when it collapsed at 10:52 a.m. He was treated at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center for a broken ankle.
