CORNELL EXTENSION GETS $100,000 FOR PROJECT

The state has given $100,000 toward the Orleans County Cornell Cooperative Extension's capital campaign to build a permanent home on the county fairgrounds to replace its office in Albion.

The money moves the campaign within 70 percent of its goal of $779,000. BOCES hopes to raise another $200,000 from donations by individuals, families and businesses.

The new facility would have more space for educational campaigns and would be accessible for the disabled.
