ROBBER FLEES WITH CASH FROM BANK ON EAST SIDE

A robber escaped with cash after holding up a Bank of America branch on East Delavan Avenue just before noon Monday.

The FBI said a man passed a demand note to the teller of the branch at 1171 E. Delavan and fled on foot with the note and an undetermined quantity of cash.

Authorities said the robber did not display a weapon.

FBI officials think that the bandit might be the same one who robbed the M&T Bank branch in the Broadway Market on Wednesday.
