Assemblyman Sam Hoyt, D-Buffalo, and Brad Rybczynski, executive director of the Buffalo Building and Construction Trades Council, on Monday urged Gov. George E. Pataki to begin releasing $100 million authorized to renovate the H.H. Richardson complex on Forest Avenue.
Hoyt and Rybczynski said the funds would provide a much-needed boost to the local economy and move the rehabilitation of the historic structure closer to reality. Hoyt also restated his recommendation for a private-public oversight board to manage the restoration and reuse effort.
