DART STREET FIRE LEAVES FAMILY OF 3 HOMELESS

The Red Cross is assisting one adult and two children after a fire today destroyed their Dart Street home.

Fire officials said two firefighters suffered minor injuries.

Authorities said the fire erupted at about 6 a.m. at 46 Dart and quickly spread throughout the 1 1/2 -story house.

Damage was estimated at $30,000 to the building and $20,000 to the contents. An emergency demolition was ordered for the house. The house next door at 44 Dart also had about $5,000 exposure damage.
