LOSS OF HOUSING POLICE IS THE ENTIRE CITY'S LOSS

For more than 30 years, the Buffalo housing police have been serving Buffalo residents in some of our city's most crime-filled areas. We must understand that crime does not operate in a vacuum. Jurisdiction is just a line drawn by people who need to point a finger at boundaries.

Our city police do not operate exclusively within certain boundaries. They do, however, operate mainly through the cooperative efforts of city police agencies. Buffalo police, transit police and housing police work together to serve and protect all of our homes. Make no mistake -- when we lose 26 housing officers, we lose 26 city police officers.
