Editor's note: In last season's preview section, Mike Harrington correctly picked the Boston Red Sox to end their 86-year curse and win the World Series. He also selected the Anaheim Angels to win the AL West. So excuse his choice of the 104-loss Kansas City Royals to win the AL Central.

WORLD SERIES CHAMPION
Red Sox over Marlins

Editor's note: Last year, Mike Harrington correctly picked the Red Sox to win the World Series. He also nailed the Angels as AL West champs. Alas, he picked the Royals to win the AL Central. They lost 104 games. Jerry Sullivan, who had picked the Red Sox to win it all in 2003, had them losing to the Cubs in '04. Sullivan was right about Bobby Crosby as AL Rookie of the Year. But he picked Larry Bowa as top NL manager, maintaining his streak of picking managers who wind up getting fired.
