COMMUTING CONCERNS
TROUBLE SPOTS FOR THE COMING WEEK

Main Street/Route 5 (City of Buffalo): The Main Street reconstruction project has resumed between Winspear and Hertel avenues. Major lane restrictions will be in place for the next several weeks.

Lewiston-Queenston Bridge: Eastbound and westbound bridge traffic will be reduced to one lane in each direction all week as part of a project to add a fifth lane to the span. The project will affect traffic for several months.

Youngmann Highway/I-290: Lane restrictions overnight from the Thruway in Amherst to the Niagara section of the Thruway in the Town of Tonawanda. It will affect traffic from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday through Friday.

Skyway/Route 5: Eastbound and westbound lane restrictions from Fuhrmann Boulevard to Church Street. The road work -- 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday -- is weather sensitive.

Millersport Highway/Route 263: Right lane will be closed near the Youngmann Highway.

Military Road/Route 265 (Town of Tonawanda): Right lane closed at Knoche Road.

South Park Avenue: Watch for detour. South Park closed between Lee and Abby streets.

Route 5/Route 20 Bridge (Town of Brant): An 18-ton weight limit is being enforced on this bridge over Cattaraugus Creek. Large commercial vehicles should take an alternate route.

Parkview Drive Bridge (Town of Akron): The Parkview Drive Bridge over Murder Creek remains closed. Detours are posted.

Tonawanda Creek Road (Clarence): Tonawanda Creek Road from Transit Road (Route 78) to Westphalinger Road is closed. Detours are posted.
