CLASS ACT
AN OUTSTANDING YOUNG WESTERN NEW YORKER

The Salamanca Daughters of the American Revolution has given Greg Brogcinski, 18, a Good Citizen Award.

The senior at Ellicottville Central School serves as senior class president and also sits on the student council.

Greg has coached and been a referee for Saturday morning youth basketball and soccer. He's participated in Challenge Leadership Summer Camp as a junior counselor and has pitched in on cleanups around Ellicottville, where he lives.

Greg is the only high school student who volunteered his time as an usher and Eucharistic minister at his church, St. Mary's in Cattaraugus County.

The DAR award is not Greg's first honor. He has also received baseball and soccer awards, and was twice named the New York Public High School Athletic Association Scholar Athlete.

The son of Robert and Kassie Brogcinski has received certificates of appreciation from the Airmen of the 914th Security Forces Squadron and from the American Legion Boys State of New York.

In addition, Greg won the Chemistry Perseverance Award and the Team Player Award for varsity baseball.
