PUBLIC MEETINGS IN LOCAL COMMUNITIES THIS WEEK

The Alden Town Board will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday in Town Hall, 3311 Wende Road.

Also this week:
Alden Village Board will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in Village Hall, 13336 Broadway. Both the annual reorganizational meeting and public hearing for the 2005-06 budget will be on the agenda.
The Alden School Board will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday in Alden High School, 13190 Park.
Amherst Town Board members will meet at 7:30 p.m. Monday to take up a resolution declaring town property tax assessments to be null and void.

The Williamsville School Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the board room of the district office, 105 Casey Road, East Amherst. The board is expected to go into executive session, then resume the public portion of the meeting at 7:30 p.m.
Glen Park Joint Board will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday in Amherst Municipal Building, 5583 Main St.
The Amherst Conservation Advisory Council will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Amherst Municipal Building.
The Amherst Chamber of Commerce will hold a reception for state, county and town lawmakers from 5 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday at 350 Essjay Road.
The Aurora Town Board meets at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Senior Citizens Center, 101 King St., to discuss community input for development of the 160-acre Majors Park near Olean and Hubbard roads.

The Town Board will hold a work session at 7:30 p.m. Monday in Town Hall, 5 S. Grove St.
The East Aurora School Board meets in regular session at 7 p.m. Thursday in the library of the Main Street School, 430 Main St.
The East Aurora Village Board holds its reorganizational meeting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in Village Hall, Main and Paine streets. Newly elected village trustees will be sworn in.
The Town Board will meet at 6 p.m. Monday for an agenda review and in regular session at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. Both meetings are open to the public and in the Town Hall, 8500 Boston State Road.

The state control board, which is overseeing Buffalo's finances, will meet at 1 p.m. Tuesday in the auditorium of the Central Library.

The Buffalo Fiscal Stability Authority is expected to receive an update on the city's four-year financial plan. The nine-member panel also will review fiscal trends facing the Board of Education, the Buffalo Municipal Housing Authority and the Buffalo Urban Renewal Agency.

The Common Council will hold its premeeting caucus at 2 p.m. Monday in Room 1417 of City Hall.
The Common Council will meet in regular session at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Council Chambers on the 13th floor of City Hall.
Efforts to encourage more people to recycle waste will be discussed by city officials and recycling advocates at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Room 1417 of City Hall.
The Common Council's Legislation Committee will hold a special meeting at 9 a.m. Thursday to discuss new strategies for helping cultural groups and human services agencies. The meeting will be in Room 1417 of City Hall.

The Town Board will conduct a regular meeting at 6:45 p.m. Monday in the Council chambers in Town Hall, 3301 Broadway and Union Road.

The Cheektowaga-Sloan School Board will meet at 6:30 p.m. Monday in Woodrow Wilson Elementary School, 166 Halstead Ave., Sloan.
The Cleveland Hill School Board will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the faculty cafeteria, 105 Mapleview Road.
The Conservation Advisory Council will meet at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the council office conference room in Town Hall.

Clarence School Superintendent Thomas G. Coseo will meet with the Town Board at 9 a.m. Wednesday to discuss the school district's record $35.8 million building project for the middle and high schools. The work session, in Town Hall, One Town Place, is open to the public.

The Clarence Planning Board meets at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Town Hall, One Town Place.
The Elma Town Board will meet at 8 p.m. Wednesday in Town Hall, 1600 Bowen Road.
The Angola Village Board will conduct its 2005-06 organizational meeting at 7 p.m. Monday, with its regular meeting following at 7:30. The meetings will be in Village Hall, 41 Commercial St.

The Lake Shore School Board will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Library/Media Center of the high school, 959 Beach Road.
The Town Board will meet at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in Town Hall, 8787 Erie Road.
The Town Board will hold a work session at 6:30 p.m. Monday in Town Hall, 2255 Baseline Road. A regular meeting will follow at 8.
The Village Board will conduct a public hearing on its proposed budget at 7 p.m. Monday in Village Hall, 100 Main St., following a 5:30 p.m. work session.

The Frontier School Board will hold a budget work session at 7 p.m. Monday in Frontier Educational Center, 5120 Orchard Ave., Hamburg. The board will hold its regular meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the auditorium of Frontier Middle School, 2751 Amsdell Road, Hamburg.
The Town Board will hold a work session at 6 p.m. Monday in Town Hall, 6100 South Park Ave.
Blasdell Village Board will hold its annual reorganizational meeting at 7 p.m. Monday in Village Hall, 121 Miriam Ave.
The Village of Hamburg Historic Preservation Commission will sponsor a public information session at 7 p.m. Wednesday in Village Hall, 100 Main St., concerning its proposal to establish a historic central business district.
The City Council will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in Council Chambers, City Hall, 714 Ridge Road. A caucus begins at 6:30.

The Zoning Board of Appeals will meet a 6 p.m. Wednesday in Council Chambers, City Hall, 714 Ridge Road. The agenda includes an Electric Avenue resident's request to change zoning from residential to business to build a mini storage facility.

The Clarence, Lancaster, Orchard Park and Sweet Home school boards will hold a joint work session at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the Lancaster Central School District board meeting room, 177 Central Ave. The meeting is a follow-up to one held in February and facilitated by the Erie County Association of School Boards.

The Lancaster Town Board will meet at 8 p.m. Monday in Lancaster Town Hall, 21 Central Ave. A work session at 7 p.m. will precede the regular meeting.
The Orchard Park School Board will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the administration building, 3330 Baker Road.

The Conservation Board will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the Municipal Center's second-floor conference room.
The Town Board will meet Wednesday, with a work session at 6 p.m. and a regular session at 7 p.m. Both meetings are open to the public and will be held in the Municipal Center, 4295 South Buffalo St.
The Tonawanda Common Council will hold a regular meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday in City Hall, 200 Niagara St.

The Kenmore Village Board will hold a work session at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday in the Municipal Building, 2919 Delaware Ave. A regular meeting will follow at 8 in the Council Chambers.
