TWO MEN ENTER PLEAS OF NOT GUILTY IN SEX CASES

Two men pleaded not guilty in separate sex cases in Niagara County Court on Friday.

Wellington C. Jacobs Jr., 37, of no fixed address, denied two charges of first-degree sexual conduct against a child and single counts of first-degree sexual abuse and endangering the welfare of a child.

Assistant District Attorney Elizabeth R. Donatello said the alleged molestation of a girl younger than 11 occurred in the City of Lockport and Ransomville between September 1999 and January 2002. Jacobs was arrested Feb. 3.

William L. Morello, 22, of Seventh Street, Niagara Falls, pleaded not guilty to first- and second-degree sexual abuse.

He is charged with forcing a girl younger than 15 to commit a sex act last year in Niagara Falls. Morello was arrested Sept. 20 but not indicted until March 15.
