Marie A. Hartmans, 81, of Orchard Park, a former Key Bank employee, died Monday in Erie County Medical Center after a short illness.
Raised in South Buffalo as Marie Kieft, she graduated from South Park High School.
During World War II, she worked at an induction station as part of the war effort.
Mrs. Hartmans moved to Orchard Park in 1960 and eventually pursued a career with Key Bank, retiring in 1998. After retirement, she volunteered at Orchard Heights nursing home, where she made ice cream sundaes.
Her husband, William R., died in 1978.
Survivors include a son, Dennis of Victor, Mont.; a daughter, Donna of Boise, Idaho; two sisters, Henrietta Smith of East Aurora and Dora Kruly of Hamburg; and one granddaughter.
Services are private. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Hamburg.
