Joseph F. Barraclough, a former maintenance worker, died Thursday in the Center for Hospice & Palliative Care, Cheektowaga, after a short illness. He was 86.
A native of Coal Glenn, Pa., where he graduated from high school, he was a longtime resident of the City of Tonawanda.
Mr. Barraclough was a Marine during World War II.
He worked in maintenance for General Motors in the Town of Tonawanda for 10 years.
His wife, the former Dorothy M. Olson, died in 1981.
Survivors include a daughter, Jeanette Lavin of North Tonawanda; a son, Alfred of the City of Tonawanda; two brothers, William of Brockway, Pa., and Clarence of Pennsylvania; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday in John O. Roth Funeral Home, 25 William St., Town of Tonawanda. Burial in Acacia Park Cemetery, Pendleton, is private.
