Robert R. Hoyt Jr. of Buffalo, a retired truck driver, died Wednesday in Millard Fillmore Hospital after a battle with kidney cancer. He was 60.
Born in Buffalo, he was a graduate of Orchard Park High School and served in the Army in Germany.
Mr. Hoyt was a railroad worker as a young man, then was a truck driver for Weber's food products and Roma Bakery, retiring when Roma closed in 1989.
He was affiliated with the Jehovah's Witnesses.
Surviving are his wife of 25 years, Christine Ann Kruszka Hoyt; three sons, Robert V. King, John P. of Cheektowaga and Michael R. of Buffalo; a stepson, Gregory T. Lewandowski of Buffalo; three stepdaughters, Renee Ann Wachowski of Buffalo, Valerie M. Hildebrandt of Blasdell and Terese R. Lewandowski of Corfu; his father, Robert R. Sr. of Buffalo; a brother, Donald P. of Lackawanna; and 11 grandchildren.
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday in Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 351 Emslie St.
