RESIDENTS' INPUT SOUGHT ON PLANS FOR MAJORS PARK

The Town of Aurora is seeking community input April 6 on plans for the 160-acre Majors Park near Olean and Hubbard roads.

The town will conduct an open house from 4 to 6:30 p.m. that Wednesday in the Senior Citizens Center, 101 King St., to gather ideas on how the park could be used.

The Town Board will then meet from 7 to 8 p.m. in public session at the Senior Citizens Center to discuss findings from the neighborhood meeting with Trowbridge & Wolf. The town has hired the landscape architects to develop a master plan for the park.

The first draft of the plan has been completed for the parkland, which the town acquired in 1999, with 40 acres of it donated by Kenneth Majors.
