A Mass of Christian Burial for Joann F. Markey, a homemaker, will be offered at 9:30 a.m. Saturday in St. James Catholic Church, 496 Terrace Blvd., Depew. Burial will be in St. Adalbert's Cemetery, Lancaster.
Mrs. Markey died Saturday in her home in Jonesborough, Tenn., after a long illness. She was 60.
Born Joann Even in Buffalo, she was a graduate of Lancaster High School. She moved from the Buffalo area to Bradenton, Fla., in 1968. There, she worked as a clerk for the Manatee County Sheriff's Department and Red Hoagland Pontiac.
Mrs. Markey moved from Bradenton to Jonesborough in 2004. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Johnson City, Tenn.
She enjoyed gardening, especially growing roses. She also enjoyed bowling and ceramics.
Surviving are her husband of 40 years, Paul R.; a daughter, Tracey Delasalas of Virginia Beach, Va.; her mother, Pearl W. Even of Buffalo; a sister, Rosemary Daniels of Buffalo; and five grandchildren.
