Planned Futures Financial Group financial adviser F. James Ginnane was elected to serve as a member of the Million Dollar Round Table's Ethics Committee for the second time. Ginnane is a 27-year member of the MDRT and one of only five members from the U.S. and Canada who were chosen to serve on the committee. MDRT membership is recognized as the standard of sales excellence in the life insurance and financial services business.

American Society of Tax Problem Solvers presented an administrative assistant training program geared towards the support staff of tax professionals who represent taxpayers before the IRS. Created by Lawrence M. Lawler, managing partner of Lawler and Witkowski and the national director for the AMSTPS, the two-day program was held in Buffalo in early November and covered all aspects of the support staff responsibilities of tax problem resolutions cases.
Tapecon, a Buffalo manufacturer of pressure-sensitive labels, decals, membrane switches, custom fabrications and digital printing, was ranked 48th in "Business Forms, Labels and Systems" in the Top Suppliers in North America Category.
