Here's a simple appetizer for holiday dinner parties. Vary the spices to suit your own taste.

Curry Cashews

1/2 teaspoon ground cumin

1/2 teaspoon ground coriander

1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric

1/2 teaspoon kosher salt

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1 tablespoon butter

1 1/2 cups whole unsalted cashews
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Combine cumin, coriander, turmeric, salt, cayenne in a small bowl. Place butter in a pie pan; place in the oven until butter melts.

Remove pan; add the nuts and spice mix. Toss until everything is well combined. Spread out the nuts in the pie pan, return to oven and bake until nuts are toasted, shaking the pan once or twice to brown the evenly. Let nuts cool before seving. Maks about 12 servings of appetizers.
