CAR FIRE AND BURGLARY BRING TERM OF 7-16 YEARS

Calem J. Demick, 19, of Cuba, has been ordered by Cattaraugus County Judge Larry Himelein to spend the next seven to 16 years in state prison for a Portville car fire and an Ischua burglary committed while he was free on probation for earlier crimes, court officials said Tuesday.

Himelein imposed the prison term on Demick's guilty plea to arson and burglary charges for the car fire and the break-in, both committed in May while he was on probation, officials said.
