Today, 4 to 5:30 p.m. at the American Red Cross, 786 Delaware Ave., "Love Across Distance: A Writing Workshop for Military Families and Friends."
Wednesday, 7 to 8:30 p.m. in the Himalayan Institute, 841 Delaware Ave., "Poetry & Healing" -- a reading and talk with insights from Richey's 25-year practice of yoga and meditation.
Thursday, 3 to 5 p.m. in Erie County Medical Center, "Writing a Path to Health and Way Back From Burnout," a reading and talk open to medical professionals from any organization.
Thursday, 6 to 8 p.m. in Gilda's Club, 1140 Delaware Ave., "Musical Words" -- an evening writing workshop for people living with cancer, their friends and families. Bring a favorite poem, short prose or saying.
Richey's appearances are part of World of Voices, a collaboration to promote cultural awareness through literature. They are funded by the John R. Oishei Foundation in arrangement with the Just Buffalo Literary Center and White Pine Press. For information, call 832-5400.
