Thomas L. Tierney, 57, a truck driver for the town Highway Department, died Saturday in his home after a short illness.
Mr. Tierney was born in Bellefonte, Pa. His family moved here when he was 5 years old, and he attended Niagara-Wheatfield schools.
He worked for the Highway Department for 23 years and continued working until October.
Survivors include his wife of 38 years, the former Betty Hall; two daughters, Teresa Mort of Jacksonville, Fla., and Christine Adams of the Town of Niagara; a son, Thomas R. of the Town of Niagara; two sisters, Shirley Denman and Dorothy Ferry, both of Niagara Falls; five brothers, Gerald and Michael, both of the Town of Niagara, Donald of Niagara Falls and Jeffrey and Jon, both of Silver Springs, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Lane Funeral Home, 8622 Buffalo Ave., Niagara Falls.
