Services for Sherman G. Chodrow of Amherst, a retired accountant, were held today in Amherst Memorial Chapel. Burial was in Temple Beth El Cemetery, Cheektowaga.
Mr. Chodrow died Saturday in Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital, Amherst. He was 75.
He was with the firm Daniel Joseph & Co. from 1954 to 1986, when it merged with BDO Seidman. He retired from the firm in 1993.
Born in Olean, Mr. Chodrow was a staff sergeant in the Army Air Forces and served with the occupation forces in Germany after World War II. He was active with the 317th Troop Carrier Wing reunion group.
After the war, he earned a degree in business administration from the University of Buffalo.
Mr. Chodrow was president of Temple Beth El from 1977 to 1979 and was a member of the Forum Club.
Surviving are his wife, the former Gloria Rogers; a son, David of Miami Beach, Fla.; two daughters, Deborah of Boca Raton, Fla., and Suzanne of Buffalo; two stepsons, Brian Fineberg of Wheatfield and Jeffrey Fineberg of Williamsville; two stepdaughters, Robin Keogh of Santa Fe, N.M., and Eden Overton of Tampa, Fla.; and eight grandchildren.
