Marie L. Etopio, a homemaker, died Friday in Mount St. Mary's Hospital, Lewiston, after a lengthy illness. She was 83.
She was born Marie Barbera in Buffalo, where she attended school. She moved to Niagara Falls after she married Dominic J. Etopio in 1943.
During World War II, she was a production worker for Bell Aircraft Co. in Wheatfield.
Mrs. Etopio enjoyed playing cards and bingo.
Surviving in addition to her husband of 61 years are a son, Donald J. of Niagara Falls; two daughters, Barbara A. Cline of Las Vegas and Francine M. DiNunzio of Henderson, Nev.; two brothers, Vincent Barbera and Russell Barbera, both of Buffalo; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian Burial was offered today in St. Joseph Catholic Church after prayers in the M.J. Colucci & Son Funeral Chapel, Town of Niagara. Entombment was in St. Joseph's Cemetery.
