The Western New York Technology Development Center in Buffalo can expect a funding boost.
It's one of 400 Manufacturing Extension Partnerships nationwide, and Rep. Thomas M. Reynolds, R-Clarence, announced that they are set to receive $109 million in federal money as part of an omnibus spending bill. It's expected to be signed into law soon by President Bush.
The MEP is a nationwide network of not-for-profit centers that help America's small manufacturers and are linked through the Department of Commerce's National Institute of Standards and Technology. High Technology in Rochester also stands to gain additional funding.
