Pauline M. Skowron became the bride of Brian M. Schmidt during a ceremony at 6 p.m. Friday in Park Lane Restaurant, where a reception was given. The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter P. Skowron of Lancaster. Parents of the bridegroom are Mary Ann J. Forczek of Town of Tonawanda and the late Robert F. Schmidt. A graduate of Villa Maria Academy and Buffalo State College, the bride has a master's degree in education from University at Buffalo, where she is pursuing a doctorate in English education and is a graduate assistant. She is a member of a team working with a federal grant studying reading and writing in the Buffalo Public Schools and is a adjunct professor in Niagara University. The bridegroom, a graduate of Kenmore West High School and Buffalo State, is an owner of Empire Liquidators, an electronic distribution company. They will live in Buffalo.
