Police said they broke up a major crack cocaine selling operation in a Buffalo neighborhood with the arrest of four people late Friday.
David Washington, 24; Shawna S. Jackson, 18; Anthony Newbern, 26; and Vonetta L. Henderson, 27, all of Buffalo, were charged with possession of a controlled substance, a felony, and possession of drug paraphernalia, a misdemeanor.
Narcotics Detectives Edward Niemann and Michael Judge, and Lt. Thomas Lyon, carrying a search warrant signed by City Judge Patrick Carney, arrested the four at 48 Sweet St., Henderson's address, after a three-month investigation.
Police charge that Washington supplied crack cocaine to four or five houses in the neighborhood where he was arrested. Police said they found about seven ounces of crack cocaine with a street value of about $20,000, as well as drug paraphernalia, at the Sweet Street address.
