A reception was given in Rich Renaissance Niagara for Mary Elizabeth Lennon and Christopher John Scott after they were united in marriage at 4 p.m. Saturday in Unitarian Universalist Church of Buffalo. The Rev. Joel Miller performed the nuptial ceremony for the daughter of Timothy and Patricia Lennon of Buffalo and the son of Blair and Donna Scott of Depew. A teacher in Maple West Elementary School, Williamsville, the bride is a graduate of University of Dayton and received a master's degree in education from University at Buffalo. The bridegroom is a graduate of University of New Orleans and is a financial adviser with Merrill Lynch. They will be at home in Buffalo after traveling to Costa Rica.

Barnard - Schmitt
Community Bible Church, Lockport, was the setting at 2 p.m. Friday when Kelly Lynn Barnard exchanged marriage vows with Marland Nicholas Schmitt. The Rev. Brad W. Delp performed the wedding ceremony. A reception for the couple was given in Father Justin Council Knights of Columbus clubrooms. The bride is the daughter of Donald and Kathleen Barnard of North Tonawanda. Parents of the bridegroom are Deborah and James Eckhart of Eden. The newly married couple will make their home in Salisbury, N.C. They teach sixth grade in North Rowan Middle School, Spencer, N.C. The bride is a graduate of Niagara University and the bridegroom is a graduate of Cortland State College.

Ibbett - Marano
After taking a trip to St. Lucia, Navy Airman Erik Ibbett and his bride, Cristina Marano, will be at home in Newport News, Va., where the bridegroom will be stationed as an aviation electronics technician. Their wedding took place at 2:30 p.m. Saturday in St. Paul Catholic Church, Kenmore. A reception for the couple was given in Main-Transit Banquet Hall. Michael and Maria Marano of Kenmore are parents of the bride. The bridegroom is the son of Brian Ibbett of Kenmore and Barbara Ibbett of Amherst. A graduate of Kenmore West High School and Leon's Studio One School of Hair Design, the bride has been a hair stylist at Shampoo II. The bridegroom is a graduate of Kenmore East High School.

Cohoon - Davis
Kristi Marie Cohoon, a third-grade teacher in East Aurora School District, and Jason Andrew Davis, a claims analyst for Definity Health, were married by the Rev. Edwin H. Sprague at 3:30 p.m. Friday in Hamburg Presbyterian Church. A reception was given in Michael's Banquet Facility for the daughter of David and Elva Cohoon of Orchard Park and the bridegroom, whose parents are Paul Jeffrey and Carol Davis of Hatsfield, Mass., and Sandra Davis of Liverpool. A graduate of University at Buffalo and Fredonia State College, the bride is completing a master's degree in educational computing in Buffalo State College. The bridegroom is a graduate of Fredonia State. They will live in Orchard Park.
